INGREDIENTS

2 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped
1 sheet puff pastry
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 egg, beaten
Icing sugar, to dust

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan).

2. Mix chopped apples with sugar and cinnamon.

3. Cut pastry into squares, fill with apple mix, fold into triangles, seal edges with a fork.

4. Brush with egg, bake 20–25 mins until golden.

5. Cool slightly and dust with icing sugar.

TIP

Try adding raisins or a splash of vanilla for extra depth.
