Quick Recipes PlaylistHere at Tower, we know just how precious your time can be. That’s why we spend every waking hour bringing you awesome, time-saving kitchen appliances so that you don’t have to spend every waking hour preparing top-notch meals. When we’re not doing that though, we like nothing more than scouring the internet to bring you our favourite food-prep hacks that’ll help you save even more time in the kitchen. If you’re always in a hurry but are not willing to compromise on the quality of your meals, take a look at our round-up of quick recipe videos from across the web.
It’s Peanut Butter Chicken Time! The health-conscious out there will probably be familiar with ‘body coach’ Joe Wicks’ Get Lean in 2015 series, but even if you’re not a gym/eat clean devotee, he’s still worth checking out. This regular series hosted by the Scoff channel shows you how to make all sorts of quick, delicious meals, our most favourite being these scrumptious low-fat peanut butter-coated chicken breasts and noodles.
Game of Scones? Not quite, but this awesome Game of Thrones-inspired recipe from one of our favourite YouTube channels How To Kitchen will tick all the boxes for fans of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. In this vid, we’re shown how to create Sansa Stark’s Lemon Cakes – great if you’ve a meeting at the Red Keep coming up. Even though this recipe is super-quick to make, you can make things even quicker by mixing things up using the Tower 1200W Die-Cast Stand Mixer.
Return of The Mac (and Cheese)The Sorted Food guys are amongst our favourite foodie-type on the whole of the internet – their jovial presenting style never fails to raise a titter or two here at Tower HQ and the recipes they regularly turn out are insanely useful and tasty to boot. Their take on Mac and Cheese is something to behold, especially if you’re lazy/pushed for time/just like eating out of mugs. The Tower Dual Bladed Mini Chopper will help you out no end when it comes to whizzing up the bacon, garlic and parsley.
Happiness is Egg-shapedKings of the quick and easy food hack, Buzzfeed Food, are always on hand to ease useful kitchen tips into your face via the magic of video and this short, sharp guide to microwaving eggs is eggs-actly what busy yolk folk like you will appreciate. No specialist equipment is needed, except for a microwave that is, and you can whip up healthy, nutritious, slants on a staple in no time at all.
My Fig & Onion Glaze Brings All The Boys To The YardWe suppose that getting Kelis to demonstrate making a milkshake was a little too obvious for the chaps at brilliant foodie channel Munchies. Plus, in getting the electro R&B star and trained chef to show us how to make fig and onion glaze they’ve probably saved a bit of money because as she mentioned in her 2003 hit, she can teach us to make a milkshake, but she’d have to charge. Whatever their reasoning, this super-swift sauce is incredibly simple to create and works an absolute treat with a nice cut of pork or gammon. These tricks have helped us out in the Tower kitchen this week and we think they’ll give you a hand too. If you know of any time or money saving food hacks, let us know in the comments or hit us up on our Twitter or Facebook channels.
